the coming full moon marks the height of winter in the northern hemisphere
this is an invitation to pause and immerse in a community somatic meditation online
this container will explore chronic holding patterns of the gut and offer space and guidance to invite those patterns to release
whether we are aware of it or not, our bodies are often experiencing (or rather avoiding experiencing) deep tension in our abdomen - our vulnerable underbelly is bracing in the face of lives lived without space for softness and integration of experience
our internal organs and abdominal tissues are desperate for spiritual rehydration
so many of us have forgotten how to let the belly soften enough to allow the deep emergent wisdom and insight to reveal itself from our core fluidity
when was the last time you offered awareness to your gut?
what did it feel like?
for me it has often felt tight, uneasy and uncomfortable
tension is stored here and as that tension releases it can bring thoughts, emotions and physical sensations to the surface - this container will be a practice in making space for all of this to dissolve
i recently heard a teacher of mine say:
“core strength does not come from density but from fluidity”
and it opened something…
sharing from my own experience; i didn’t used to give much attention to this part of embodied experience as there was soo much discomfort when i did - i was disconnected without realising it and this disconnection was fuelling addiction to subtle thought patterns and numbing behaviours
awakening to the interconnected nature of reality will inevitably invite us into this process of abdominal unravelling and until we surrender to this call our experience will always require bypassing some aspect of embodied intimacy
recently i’ve felt my gut screaming at me for more presence, more softness, more tenderness
my response has been to offer more awareness and welcome the unfurlings of a deep tension that feels ancestral
and what i’ve noticed is that my body knows exactly what to do when i allow
this transmission is what i hope to offer you in this container
in my experience there’s a certain level of reverence, honesty and vulnerability required here as the fascial web that weaves deeply through our viscera holds memories of lifetimes spent bracing and longing for cohesion - this is not easy work but it is what opens us to deeper levels of embodied liberation and interconnected intimacy
if you are interested in exploring this through practice i would love to see you sunday 1st february
6:30pm UK - 7:30pm EU - 10:30am PACIFIC - 1:30pm NYs
the exploration will include a bespoke soundscape and invite you to slow down
